Britannica Online Academic Edition   Britannica Online Academic has been thoroughly updated with new content that specifically addresses the needs of college and university libraries. Points of View Reference Center    Points of View Reference Center is a full-text database designed to provide students with a series of essays that present multiple sides of a current issue. The database provides 250 topics, each with an overview (objective background/description), point(argument), counterpoint (opposing argument), and Critical Thinking Guide. The database also offers guides to debate, developing arguments, and writing position papers.

Student Resource Center Gold Student Resource Center covers the major subject areas, including history, literature, science, social studies. LexisNexis Academic   Provides full text newspaper articles from many states and countries as well as news transcripts, which are mostly from major American news sources. Also provides citations and selected full text to legal materials, including federal code and regulations, state codes, tax law, and state and federal case law.

ProQuest Newspapers   Provides citations and selected full text to newspaper articles. Includes full text for over 300 U.S. and International newspapers, including Star Tribune, Christian Science Monitor, LA Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post. Updated daily.

Oxford Reference Online   Provides full text definitions and entries from over 100 of Oxford's renowned dictionary and reference titles across more than 20 subject areas. Can search individual titles, subject groups, or the entire collection.

Reference Universe Find citations to 28,000 specialized encyclopedias. Simultaneous search the table of contents and back-of-the-book indexes for over 6,500 specialized encyclopedias.

World Almanac/ Book of Facts This database searches Funk & Wagnall's New Encyclopedia and four different almanacs and includes biographies, encyclopedia entries, facts, and statistics.

Librarian's Index to the Internet   "Search or browse LII's 16,000 high-quality websites. Each site has been chosen by a librarian for its educational content and websites are removed when the information is no longer valid."

Online Writing Lab (OWL) OWL is a writing help site created and maintained by Purdue University. The site includes extensive information on the MLA and APA writing styles, as well as helpful tips for grammar and mechanics. OWL also provides information on various writing forms, including research papers, resumes, and business letters.
